I grew up in Bradford on Colby St. and knew Ouida from the neighborhood. Just learned of her passing on December 27, 2012. Nice girl. My sincere condolences.

My prayers are with the Bayfield family. I was a childhood friend. I had lost contact with Ouida over the years, and to my regrets I found her again but to late. God Bless & my Prayers are with you.

We certainly miss one of the kindest and classiest ladies we were pleased to know in Hong Kong or anywhere.We loved going to the Bayfields for cocktails and dinner-your amah even had spring rolls as good as our Ad's!When we speak of HK and our friends we always have the Bayfields at the top. Your family is a real gem-you, Bill, will have to give Ouida and Heidie and Heather the MVP award for moulding it-maybe we'll give you a smidgen of credit out of charity. I grew up in Haverhill, MA. My family was friends with the Gages. I was Billie's age and knew her better. It saddens me to learn of Ouida's death as she is the last of the Gage's I knew in Haverhill. I am pleased though to see that she lived a full and happy life.
