Savannah, Georgia - Edward M. Beckwith, 75, of Savannah, Georgia, died Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Born in Thomas County, Georgia, Ed was a retired teacher and headmaster in Gray, Georgia.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Edward is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Meeks Beckwith, of Savannah, his son Kevin Beckwith and wife Cassie, and his two grandchildren, Sallie Rose and Lulie Beckwith, all of Savannah.
Also surviving are sister Jinx (Jack) O'Neal, sister Patsy (Cecil) Boone, aunt Dorothy Beckwith, and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will take place at 1 pm, Monday, August 6 at the Spring Hill Christian Church in Ochlocknee, Georgia, conducted by Pastor Ernie Beckwith. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
