Eugene H. Michael 82, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Savannah, GA.
Mr. Michael was born in Hazelton, PA on September 8, 1929, the son of the late Peter Eugene and Helen Kehoe Michael. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served with the B Company of the 3rd Infantry. Following his military tenure he worked for the Armstrong Company where he held various production jobs. He later worked for St. Mary's Church and ultimately worked for Ehrlich Pest Control Services where he served as an exterminator for 19 years.
Mr. Michael was a life member of the Lancaster Moose Lodge #299. He was also a member of the Elstonville Sportsman Association and the American Legion Post 34.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Michael. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Viola W. Michael of Savannah, GA; son, Carl W. Michael and wife Noelia of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Jose H. Colon and Katiria Carabella; great-grandchildren, Justin Colon and Nicholas Palacios; sister, Patsy Anderson of Lancaster, PA and brother, Earl Michael of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 7020 Concord Road, Savannah, GA 31410.
